The long-awaited art revamp is over! Dubai’s very own street walls will refurbish from Satwa all the way down to Hatta and will soon become your new street art gallery.
The public art initiative (officially referred to as ‘Dubai Street Art Museum’) will turn Diyafah Street into a gigantic open-air art gallery covered in aesthetic graffiti and is expected to take five years to be completed.
The museum is expected to reflect not only the multicultural scent but also local heritage while embellishing the city’s streets.
Professional artists will be coming from around the world, however, local art students will get the opportunity to work beside them as a means of experience. After all, who could possibly know the UAE better than its people?
The paintings runs across a total of 16 buildings along 2nd of December Street, and 16 local and international artists will be contributing together to make this work of art happen.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid had pointed out that this specific street has been chosen because of its historical significance in the Emirate.
