Only two weeks ago we celebrated the launch of Broke Club Official, a new streetwear brand that is taking over the town, and today we have our hands on their freshly done Look Book SS18. We had a little chat with the mastermind behind the brand – Romina Torres – so let’s dig deeper.

As we have noticed for the past few months, there is a big boom for the local streetwear labels. Each one with a different approach to the subject yet what makes Broke Club Official different is that they are all about bringing culture. On Broke Club Official website you can find monthly playlists of upcoming international artists. We have witnessed this on their launch where Ramina brought the UK grime artist – EYEZ.

The first collection is called Workin Class Collection and is fully dedicated to Rominas’ parents. As she told us, they used to work 3 jobs a day (!) just to make sure she will have a stable future and get the proper education. In their SS18 Look Book, you can notice t-shirts with “Workin Class” on them as well as a lot of hoodies and hats with the original logo representing the brand. The limited pieces of a hockey jersey are almost sold out so hurry up to get it.

Romina herself says that all the inspiration she gets comes from music. That is why she wants to combine fashion with creating new experiences for people in Dubai. As a “music obsessed millennial who is always broke” she wants to create an affordable brand, that will become a lifestyle.
