Bastakiya Al Fahidi District Music
Al Bastakiya
Al Bastakiya, AKA Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is a place that reeks of the good old days. Originally, it was built for sixty housing units in the1890’s. Almost one hundred years later, Bastakiya was ordered to be demolished. British architect Rayne Otter started renovation of Bastakiya and involved Prince Charles to help with the preservation of the complex. The Prince of England however, openly suggested that Bastakiya should remain as is. This stopped the demolition plans, making it available for you to experience one of the oldest districts of Dubai. Dubai’s Municipality recently took over to restore and renovate the entire area, giving it a unique vibe and adding some contemporary touches such as street art.
Arabian Tea House Restaurant Dubai

The Arabic tunes will provide the perfect background to your mezze and karak tea. It is open from 8:00 AM- 10:00 PM which makes it a good stop for breakfast, dinner and everything in-between. If this place exceeds your budget, don’t worry as there are many options surrounding it.
Marines Club Dubai Rock Bar
Marines Club
The interior of the club is made to mimic the nearby Port Rashid. That is why the main theme of the place is the aqua experience. If you enjoy cover music, this club will fulfil your needs. They are famous for their 10-person Filipino band that will swim deep into 80’s during performances. Marines club is definitely a great place to unwind, far away from the pretentious glitz and glamour but be determined not to pay the cover charge which they may try to impose.

Carl & Reda Mafia Profile Picture
Carl & The Reda Mafia

Carl and The Reda Mafia A Dubai based progressive funk band which consists of four members- Carl, Christos, Tarek and Colin. One year after the band’s creation in October 2014, they managed to open for Bon Jovi at Du Arena, for a crowd of 25,000 people. They were the first band to sign with the Abu Dhabi-based studio, White Cube, and was a headline for rapper J. Cole at Beats on the Beach, 2017. The members of the band come from very diverse musical backgrounds adding to the creation of the “Funk Jam” genre, as Reda calls it, which makes their music “fresh and unique”. Carl’s background is in motown and country music, Redda comes from classic rock and rock n’ roll, Chris has a metal background and Colin comes from Gospel. The fusion of all these backgrounds produced a band which appeals to rockers, ravers and pop enthusiasts.
