Tarsila Schubert
Tarsila Schubert

Tarsila Schubert is not only a Street Art celebrity. But also an art-entrepreneur. Originally from Brazil but now living in the UAE, her artwork can be seen all over Dubai, Sharjah, Jordan, Europe and Latin America. She gained international recognition as the first female artist to paint a mural in Jordan for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The unique colour and shape which Tarsila uses characterize her character of being fruity, positive, yet well-rounded and multi-faceted. She says- “Having a real and unbiased view of somebody’s soul through culture is the best inspiration anybody can ask for.” She has worked with various fashion brands like Pepsi, Hermes and Sephora. After establishing herself in the marketing and the creative scene, she has opened two successful Art Galleries - The Cave & 701.

Cave DXB
The Cave
Let's begin in Tarsila's Art Studio - THE CAVE DXB. It is an incubator for local artists to create, exhibit and sell their art pieces. This place is fantastic to get in touch with some of the best artists of Dubai who, collectively, make The Cave a truly memorable place for arts.
701 Dubai Art Gallery
701
701 is a similar concept. Created by the one & only Tarsila with the continuous vision to make the profession, Artist, easier within the Middle East. Here, Artists have rented out spaces to also produce and exhibit their work. What we love about this location is its urban design and it's fantastic outside area with view of Burj Khalifa.
Open Air Museum
The entire 2nd December Street has been 'Art'graded' into a 'Open Air Street Art Museum'. On every wall are huge murals reflecting UAE traditions. We have dedicated an entire tour on this street alone, if interested simply search 'Open Air Street Art Museum' on our platform. We suggest starting off at the first painting, on the Chelsea Plaza hotel and walking down to the Round About.
Sweet Art Restaurant
If you are craving some real street food, Sweet Arts is here to satisfy your needs. This Chinese restaurant serves some delicious dumplings, noodles and rice dishes at the lowest price in all of Dubai. Get your chopsticks ready people!
Open Air Street Art Museum
Open Air Museum
Back on the 2nd December Street, let us enjoy the other murals. Small game fro along the way: identify 15 Street Art Murals, 1 we have already seen. This street is historically as important as it's murals. Etihad Museum & Union House at the base of the street is where the federation documents of the Emirates were signed.
Bastakiya Dubai
Al Bastakiya
Tarsila's favorite place in town - the tradition & art hub of Dubai. Al Fahidi Neighborhood District, A.K.A Al Bastakiya, represent Dubai's oldest residential. It shows Dubai's traditional architecture and reflects it's humble beginnings. Bedouin people invested in livestock, fishing farming, pearl diving and pearl trading. If you are interested to visit the Dubai Museum, just search it on Street Life platform. You can do this after discovering the small corridors and identifying beautiful contemporary art & art galleries such as XVA.
Coffee Museum Bastakiya
Coffee Museum
To all coffee lovers – this is your spot. Wonder around the Coffee museum, read about its history and try the different coffee flavors from around the world. Our tip, let Abdul hameed make a Turkish coffee for you. We have created a dedicated tour for Al Bastakiya. We suggest use it - just search for 'Bastakiya' in our search function.
