The New York streetwear brand collaborates with the all-famous French luxury brand Louis Vuitton to bring the world premium quality streetwear. The collaboration was unveiled on the runway on January 20th at the label’s men’s show in Paris. Rapper Travis Scott was spotted in the front row dressed in the collection from head to toe along with football player David Beckham and world-famous model Kate Moss.

The teaser began with creative director Kim Jones in the beginning of the 2017 when he first hinted by posting (and then deleting) a photo on instagram. He recalls his first memories of the skate and streetwear brand as a student working in a shop in London. “I just feel that the strength of their graphic versus the strength of Louis Vuitton graphic and that kind of Pop Art feeling – it works together perfectly,” said Jones

According to Luke Leicht from U.S. Vogue, the idea behind the colab came from LV’s CEO, Michael Burke.

The collection ranges from six handbag styles; varying from fanny packs to backpacks, holdall, and messenger bags. The co-design also offers bandanas, denim baseball jerseys, gloves, belts, baseball bats, some dope loafers and skateboards all printed with a mix of LV monograms and the Supreme logo.

The Louis Vuitton X Supreme collaboration is expected to drop in Louis Vuitton stores in July 2017.

Is the co-design a step towards supreme innovation; or is it just another easy design waiting to be copied? Tell us what you think below in the comments!
